What Christmas Events Does Stockeld Park Have On?
It’s time to get excited – Christmas is here! At Stockeld Park, we’re holding our annual Christmas Adventure, filled with festive magic loved by all ages.
In this blog, we’ll dive into all our Christmas activities during December so you know what we have planned. We have plenty of ticket options from ‘Forest, Maze & Illuminations only’ to a fun-filled Gold ticket package! You don’t want to miss out on this fun!
Top 5 Christmas Activities in Yorkshire
Whether you want to meet Santa, explore our Winter Illuminations or get lost in our Snowflake Maze, there’s a holiday activity perfect for you.
Ice Skating
Whizz around our outdoor ice skating rink, which provides outstanding views of the park’s Winter Illuminations. Our rink is open to everyone over four years old and can be booked privately for exhilarating ice skating parties. Plus, if you’re an eager skater, get an ice skating membership for unlimited access! Don’t forget to read our ice skating tips if you’re a beginner!
Availability: Open all day till the 8th of January. This event is included in the Illumination and Skate Package Only ticket. Upgrade is available!
Santa’s Grotto Experience
Want to give your Christmas wishlist to Santa Claus in person? Head to Santa’s Grotto Experience at Stockeld Park and make amazing memories! Before you meet Santa, immerse yourself in our new magical dome experience, including exciting interactive areas and mesmerising winter scenery.
As you venture through the dome, you can glimpse into Mrs Claus’ magical kitchen and walk through Santa’s shopping street, where you’ll meet talking reindeer and discover your elf name!
When you arrive at the Grotto, Mrs Claus and her elves will invite you for some exclusive time with Father Christmas. Plus, all paying children will receive a fantastic toy to take home! Don’t forget to grab a photo – Santa Claus only comes once a year!
Availability: Open from 10am to 7pm every day in December till the 24th with a Gold or Silver ticket package.
Winter Illuminations
Our Winter Illuminations event transforms the Enchanted Forest into a wonderland of twinkling lights and magical, animated installations. As darkness sets, you’ll experience a captivating soundscape, dazzling light effects and nearly a mile of breathtaking, ancient woodland.
Our Christmas light show is perfect for a romantic evening out or for your family to make unforgettable memories in nature.
Availability: Open from dusk and is included in all Christmas packages.
Snowflake Maze
Christmas is a time for family and friends to get together, and what better way to reconnect than by tackling a huge maze? Our giant Snowflake Maze contains over 2 miles of yew trees grown directly in the Stockeld Park estate.
Be amazed by thousands of twinkling lights, exciting surprises, obstacles and beautiful sculptures. Are you ready to defeat our Christmas labyrinth?
Availability: Open all day till the 8th of January with all Christmas packages.
Grinchilocks Christmas Panto
Who doesn’t love a Christmas panto? Stockeld Theatre will be playing a 30-minute, family-friendly show about Grinchilocks & The Three Elves. Hear from the bad elf, Grinch, and see how they rekindle the Christmas spirit in this holiday adventure.
Availability: Show starts at 1pm, 2pm, 3:30pm and 4:30pm till December 24th. Tickets are included in the Gold Package.
